Rules and Expectations
· Dancers are expected to have a water bottle with them for every class
· Long hair must be pulled back and away from the dancer’s face- bun, braid, pony-tail
· Dance attire will be in accordance of:
All dancers will be required to purchase our studio logo t-shirt (will be used for many performances)
Parent & Me- leotards or fitted tank tops in either PINK, BLUE or GREEN & shorts/skirts that are BLUE or BLACK and above the knees & knee-high socks, and ghillies or black Ballet slippers; clothes will also be in good repair
Tartan Tots- leotards or fitted tank tops in either PINK, BLUE or GREEN & shorts/skirts that are BLUE or BLACK and above the knees & knee-high socks, and ghillies or black Ballet slippers; clothes will also be in good repair
Highland Flingers & Advanced- leotards or fitted tank tops in either BLUE or GREEN & shorts/skirts that are BLUE or BLACK and above the knees & knee-high socks, and ghillies or black Ballet slippers; clothes will also be in good repair
Adults- athletic tops (loose comfortable), leggings or shorts, knee high socks, ghillies or black Ballet slippers; clothes will also be in repair
· Sweat pants and sweat shirts may be worn for warm up and cool down times of class
· Dancers may arrive no more than 10 minutes early to class to get ready for class (change clothes, put on dance shoes, tie hair back, stretch)
· Dancers are required to have 2 yard sticks or a Sword set for practice at home
· Before and after each dance class, dancers will be required to wash their hands with soap and water and/or use hand sanitizer
· Dancers will respect personal space of others and keep their hands and limbs to themselves, unless directed, to keep in guidelines of the Social Distancing regulations and protocols
· Dancers are highly encouraged to carry a spiral notebook for taking notes
· Parents must stay behind the partition during class times, as they are a distraction for dancers
· Dancers may also use a video or audio recording device as a way of note taking but must inform the teacher first
· Dancers will be patient with their dance progress, as it will happen over time
· Dancers and families will support, encourage, and uplift each other
· During the cold, winter months, dancers are required to wear warm clothing when entering and leaving the dance studio
· Dancers and families need to remember that dance comes from the heart
